The Pacific Air pilot portal is now live
We're excited to announce that the Pacific Air pilot portal is now live. The portal is your new home for everything about your flying with Pacific Air, from your Newsky stats to your training.
Announcements
Pilot announcements will now come through the portal, so you'll see them as soon as you log in. We'll still keep posting announcements in our Discord as well.
Your Newsky flights and stats
The portal connects to Newsky, so your flights come straight through. You'll be able to see your own stats, including your last flight, your hours, your average rating and landing rate, and your favourite aircraft and route. Pilot Services staff can also review your flights and PIREPs in the portal, so everyone is looking at the same information.
Training
You can now request training directly from the portal, whether it's help with an aircraft type, VATSIM procedures or phraseology. You can follow your requests and read notes from your instructors there too.
How to get an account
To have your pilot portal account set up, email pilotservices@pacificairvirtual.com with your name and the name you fly under on Newsky. Our Pilot Services team will set you up and send you your login details.
We can't wait for you to try it out. If you have any questions, please reach out to Pilot Services.

Kyron Flavel appointed Technology Services Director
Pacific Air Virtual Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Kyron Flavel as our new Technology Services Director.
Kyron takes up the role having most recently served as Acting Executive Director, Events & Engagement, where he led the group's events and member engagement programs. His time in that role gave him a close understanding of what our pilots and staff need day to day — experience that will serve him well as he shapes the tools and systems they rely on.
Kyron brings strong technology skills to the airline, and his technical knowledge has already been a real asset to Pacific Air Virtual. He is well placed to lead the group's technology, from our website and portals to the tools that keep our operations running smoothly.
As Technology Services Director, Kyron will lead the Technology team, working with every department to deliver the systems our pilots and staff use, and responding to technology requests from across the group.

Pacific Air Virtual Group announces Acting Executive appointments
Ashden Bell is taking a period of leave from her role as Chief Executive Officer, and the Board of Directors has confirmed a series of Acting Executive appointments to lead Pacific Air Virtual Group in her absence. The Board is pleased to appoint the following members of staff to their acting positions, effective from 21 September 2026 and concluding on 5 October 2026.
The Board of Directors is pleased to appoint Zane Gowans as Acting Chief Executive Officer for the duration of Ashden's leave. Zane brings a wealth of experience to the role, having most recently served as Executive Director, Flight Operations & Standards, where he was instrumental in lifting the group's operational standards and building a culture of safety and professionalism across the mainline and subsidiary carriers. His deep operational background, calm decision-making under pressure and clear commitment to the group's members make him exceptionally well placed to lead Pacific Air Virtual Group through this period.
The Board is equally pleased to appoint Cooper Schilli as Acting Executive Director, Flight Operations & Standards, stepping up from his role in Events & Engagement for the duration of the acting appointments. Cooper has been a driving force behind the group's events and member engagement programs, and has consistently demonstrated the kind of organisational rigour, attention to detail and people-first leadership that flight operations demands. The Board is confident that Cooper will bring the same energy and standards to this new portfolio that he has shown throughout his time with the group.
Together, these appointments reflect the Board's ongoing commitment to developing leaders from within the group's ranks — recognising strong leadership capability, sound judgement and a proven track record of delivering for our members.

A virtual airline, run like a real one.
Pacific Air Virtual Group is Australia's largest virtual airline, built around the same governance and operational structure as the airlines we simulate.
Our founder
Founded by Ashden Bell.
Pacific Air Virtual Group was founded by Ashden Bell, a long-time virtual airline executive with a career spanning multiple executive roles across the virtual aviation industry. Before being appointed Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Air Virtual Group, Ashden served as Chief Operating Officer of Skyline Virtual Air, where he helped shape flight operations and standards for another major virtual carrier.
Drawing on that experience, Ashden built Pacific Air Virtual Group around a clear principle: a virtual airline should be as well run as the real ones it simulates, with proper governance, clear accountability, and a genuine focus on the experience of every pilot who logs on.
"I've spent years in virtual airline leadership, and the thing that always separates a good virtual airline from a great one is structure — real accountability, real standards, and people who care about getting the details right."
Ashden Bell, Chief Executive Officer & Managing DirectorHow we're governed
Led by an Executive Team, accountable to a Board.
Pacific Air Virtual Group is led day-to-day by our Chief Executive Officer and Executive Team, who are responsible for flight operations and standards, member events and engagement, and corporate services. The Executive Team is in turn accountable to our Board of Directors, which provides oversight of the group's direction and standards across all of our operations.

Two carriers, one group.
Alongside our Pacific Air mainline network, Pacific Air Virtual Group operates two subsidiary carriers — each with its own identity, network and leadership — expanding where and how our members can fly.
Our group
Built to reach further than Pacific Air alone.
AirAustralia and SwiftJet America both report into the Pacific Air Virtual Group Executive Team, each led by their own Chief Executive Officer. They fly under their own liveries and networks, giving our members two more ways to fly within the one group.
Low-cost. Regional. Part of the Pacific Air Virtual Group.
AirAustralia is the Group's low-cost subsidiary, flying regional and domestic routes that complement — rather than repeat — the Pacific Air mainline network. Where Pacific Air connects the major capitals to the world, AirAustralia links the secondary cities and regional centres in between, along with a handful of leisure routes of its own.

Fly fast. Fly proud.
SwiftJet America is the Group's United States subsidiary, based out of San Francisco International Airport (KSFO). Where Pacific Air's international network reaches a handful of US gateways, SwiftJet builds out a full domestic network across America for our members to fly.
